Road Tests
Our driving school is approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety to offer third party road skills tests.
The DPS Road Skills Test will be conducted by a state-certified examiner at Mr. D's Driving Center. The test will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. To obtain your actual driver's license card, you will need to take your sealed test results to a Department of Public Safety Office location.

If you forget your documents, your permit, or insurance, we will not be able to administer the DPS approved Road Test. There will be a $15 fee to reschedule.
If you cancel with less than 24-hour notice or if you do not show to your scheduled appointment, there is a $30 rescheduling fee.

Prep and Test
Professional instruction on parallel parking and test route practice followed by a DPS approved Road Test.
- Call for an appointment.
- The Prep & Test is done in a Mr. D's Driving Center vehicle.
- Late cancellations or No-Shows result in a $60 rescheduling fee and the loss of one of the three attempts at testing.
- Retests must be done within 3 months of the first attempt.
